Margot Daly, Chair
Margot is an inquiry chair at the Competition & Markets Authority and serves as a non-executive director at the NAAFI, where she chairs its audit & risk committee. She also serves as an ad hoc independent business consultant, primarily in the media and technology sectors.
Mark Weiss, Deputy Chief Executive Officer and Director of Communications and External Affairs
Mark joined GamCare in May 2022, and brought with him over a decade of experience in health policy and communications. Prior to joining us, he spearheaded all aspects of Policy and Public Affairs for the UK’s largest hospital specialty, anaesthesia, amid the COVID-19 pandemic.
Tim Hodgetts, Director of Clinical Operations
Tim Hodgetts leads the strategic oversight and operational management of GamCare’s clinical services, including our regional services that provide free, confidential, and personalised support for people experiencing gambling harm, the National Gambling Helpline and online support, and our prevention and education programmes. Before joining GamCare in 2024, Tim worked in the Health and Social Care sector for over 22 years in senior leadership roles for the NHS responsible for the management and leadership of healthcare services in Dorset and the direct delivery of urgent care services including NHS 111. Tim is passionate about supporting individuals to access high-quality services that deliver the best possible outcomes. He is a Senior Registered Nursing leader and holds an MSc in Clinical Governance, a Diploma in Higher Education Nursing from the University of Worcester, and postgraduate management qualifications.
Dimitrios Tourountsis leads GamCare’s Data and Business Insights team which develops evaluation strategies and fosters an analytics driven culture. Dimitrios has worked extensively across public health (Brook, a sexual health charity), youth (London Youth) and arts and community engagement (Diverse City) sectors. He has consulted for central government (DCMS), innovation agencies (NESTA), funders (Trust for London, Power to Change, Crowdfunder) and local authorities (Hackney, Tower Hamlets and Islington) to drive innovation and value creation. He has an MA in Media and Communications and a MPhil in Advanced Practices.
Samantha Turton leads GamCare’s Remote Services which includes the 24- hour National Gambling Helpline, and digital support platforms. Sam has worked for 14 years in Helpline and Online service delivery and is driven to provide accessible, remote support to those in need. Prior to joining GamCare in 2022, Sam delivered several transformation programmes, holding managerial positions at the NSPCC and working as the Deputy Director of Services for the leading eating disorder charity, Beat.
Alexa Roseblade leads GamCare’s Children and Young People Programmes including the Young People’s Gambling Harm Prevention Programme; the English Gambling Education Hub, and GameCare’s Youth Advisory Board which embeds youth voice and lived experience in our work. Alexa has worked in the third sector for over 15 years, leading programmes, events, and services for young people with disabilities and long-term medical conditions in organisations such as Girlguiding, The National Deaf Children’s Society, Diabetes UK and Cancer Research UK. Alexa holds a LLB Law and Politics degree from Cardiff University, Level 2 British Sign Language, PRINCE2 and AGILE project management qualifications.
Max Gogerty leads GamCare’s Adult Services which include the Money Guidance Service, and our Regional Services that provide free, confidential, and personalised support for people impacted by gambling, including those affected by someone else’s gambling. Prior to joining GamCare in 2021, and from a commitment to supporting others to make positive changes in their lives, Max worked in both operational and strategic leadership roles for 17 years, with Addaction (now With You), a leading substance misuse and mental health charity. Max held responsibilities for services for adults and young people impacted by addiction, with a focus on substance use, and offending. Max holds a BSc in Psychology and a Postgraduate Certificate in Business Administration.
Dominique Webb leads GamCare’s Adult Programmes which includes Criminal Justice, Women’s Programme, and sector-focussed programmes working with social care, debt services and housing/homelessness, delivering education and prevention services, raising awareness of gambling harms, how to identify them and how to help anyone affected. Dom started her career in the Citizens Advice network and then in gender policy for the Equality and Human Rights Committee, moving into employment and skills regeneration projects at a local authority, before taking Operations Director roles at the International Alliance of Patients’ Organizations and Women in Prison. She spent eight years as a board member of Merseyside Probation trust, and ten years as a trustee for Liverpool World Centre, a Development Education charity. She is currently the Chair of Trustees for Prisoners Advice Service.
Julia Fazackerley leads GamCare’s Business Development team which focuses on strategic business development and income generation, sustainability, and diversification. The team also delivers the inception and delivery of a range of innovation service pilots. Julia has over a 25-year history working within the health, justice and social care sector. She began work in the substance misuse sector, within young people’s and criminal justice services, including developing and overseeing regional prison-based contracts. From there she has overseen a range of community and criminal justice addiction services, commissioned by local authorities and NHS. She has worked freelance, supporting organisations in bids and governance developments (including Forward, EDP [now Humankind], NHS Trust). In 2018, Julia moved into the gambling support sector, as a Director at Gordon Moody. She holds a Masters in Health and Social Care Management, Postgrad Diploma in Substance Misuse Policy, and LLB in Law and Criminology.
Candice Donn leads GamCare’s Clinical Governance, which is responsible for clinical risk management, quality assurance, knowledge management, Model of Care development and implementation, safeguarding and organisational GDPR compliance and best practice. Candice has 16 years’ experience working within the addiction field, implementing new services, writing policies and procedures, as well as leading strategic and operational delivery of NHS adult multidisciplinary integrated substance misuse and criminal justice services. Candice is a qualified Addiction Therapist and Counsellor and has a MSc in Addiction Psychology and Counselling, and a BSc in Psychology. She is a member of British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy and British Psychological Society.
Claire Nugent leads GamCare’s People and Organisational Development team which is accountable for delivering specialist HR operation, recruitment and learning and organisational development functions. The team are responsible for ensuring GamCare recruits talented colleagues, which are developed and supported to enable them to provide excellent service to those affected by gambling harms. Claire is a chartered member of the CIPD. She has spent her entire career within HR, spanning several different sectors, including the private and manufacturing sectors at Accenture and Unilever, but has primarily worked within the charity sector for Parkinson’s UK, Barnardo’s and The Prince’s Trust.
Emma Laycock leads GamCare’s Finance team, responsible for all finance operations including supplier and customer invoice management, employee expenses, staff payroll and VAT. In addition, finance performs the budget and management account’s function, statutory filings and completion of the annual audit. Emma is ACCA qualified with over 30 years of experience ranging from working in auditat Arthur Andersen to publishing at Activision. Emma’s interest in working in the charity sector started in 2015 when she accepted a role in the Charity & Arts sector and since then has worked on multiple large scale public events, including Hull UK City of Culture, Edinburgh International Festival and the Opening and Closing Ceremonies for Birmingham Commonwealth Games. In response to the Covid pandemic, Emma was Head of Finance and Operations at DHSC.
