Not ready, or not able to speak to someone on the phone or in person? You can get in touch with us by email.

This service is designed to provide short term email support for anyone affected by gambling harms, either by their own or through someone else’s gambling.

Support is provided by our experienced team of Online Support Practitioners, who can help you to explore your situation and navigate your next steps, including what additional support options are available to you.  

How does email support work?

  1. Make sure you have read our privacy statement to ensure you understand what information we will have access to and how we are storing this data.
  2. Email us at [email protected] and include as much information as you feel comfortable sharing about your current situation. 
  3. One of our Online Support practitioners will respond to you email within two working days (Monday – Friday) offering information, support and potential signposting to other relevant services or information.

How does it work?

  • You can continue to correspond by email for up to 3 emails in total to ensure you have received the information, support and signposting that is most relevant to you and your situation. 
  • Email exchanges will remain open for 28 days. If an email sent by our team has not been responded to within 28 days, we will assume that you no longer wish to access email support at this time and this email exchange will be closed. 
  • The email service is designed to provide support to those experiencing gambling harms, either directly or through someone else’s gambling. Therefore, any emails sent to this address that are not directly linked to support for someone experiencing gambling harms will not be responded to.

Things to note

  • In an emergency, or if you or someone else is at immediate risk of harm, please dial 999. 
  • The email service is not a crisis or emergency service, and emails will be responded to within 2 working days. If you want to speak to someone immediately, you can contact the National Gambling Helpline via live chat or on the phone at 0808 8020 133, 24 hours a day, every day of the year.
  • If you need support immediately and are not able to reach us via the National Gambling Helpline, you can contact Samaritans on 116 123. You can also contact HOPELineUK from Papyrus if you are under 35, on 0800 068 4141.
